Sunday, September 15th
Experience Colonial Life - Colonial Enactors
Colonial Music & Dance - Colonial Games, Toys and Crafts.
Enjoy 18th Century Inspired Cuisine.

Our Colonial Day worship service begins at 10:30AM,
patterned after the style of the 18th Century with
the Reverend James Anderson, MPC Pastor
(1771-1783) returning to provide the sermon.
The Worship Service also includes a “tithingman”
armed with his feather and knob to discourage
rowdiness and napping.

Beginning at noon through 3:00 PM various games
and crafts will be offered for both children and adults.
Demonstrations include chair caning, spinning,
wool preparation, quilting, weaving, “button lady“
blacksmithing, and a Colonial peddler
and his wares.

Colonial re-enactors and participants include
Massey House, Thomas Minshall House,
The Lazaretto, Marple Newtown Community Band
Middletown Township Historical Society,
Bethel Township Preservation Society.
and Friends Meeting Houses

Activities include militia drills, Colonial music
Hands-on-History, tours of our historic cemetery,
first person narrators, living history enactors
and a homemade quilt raffle.
